Mission Statement and Logo

We hope that God will bless everyone that has the opportunity to see this site and to give time to diligent study of His wonderful word. The Word of God, regarded and studied as it should be, will give light and knowledge. Its perusal will strengthen the understanding. By contact with the purest, most lofty truths, the mind will be enlarged, the taste refined.

We would appreciate it very much if you told your friends and family about this website so this truth can be shared with as many people as possible. Our main purpose is to proclaim the present truth as found in the Bible.  With God’s guidance Selah Ministries will continue to be a blessing to all who interact with it. May we have the patience of the saints and look forward to His soon return… May God fill your life with joy as you seek Him today . . .

Selah Ministries Mission Statement

Selah Ministries is a present truth ministry dedicated to promoting and defending the Three Angels Messages of Revelation 14 with a special emphasis on preparation for the crisis at the end of time and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Selah Ministries is loyal to the principles of the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy and encourages faithfulness to their counsel in an increasingly secular world and church.

Selah Ministries is a part of a worldwide movement, working to prepare the world for the impending conflict between the forces of good and evil. We aim to do this by publishing and presenting present truth on the internet, in print, by Bible studies and by other means. We seek to meet the challenge presented by those winds of doctrine that, left unaddressed, would strip away our distinctive, God-given Seventh-day Adventist identity and prophetic calling. In place of weak and watery substitutes, we present Heaven’s message of authentic victory over sin in this life and the preparation of a people hastening the coming of Jesus Christ.

Goals

  • To uplift Jesus Christ with His forgiving, converting, healing power as the only answer for all the woes of mankind.
  • To champion the pre-eminence of present truth in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • To stand in defence of the distinctive truths, prophetic message, and lifestyle entrusted to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as set forth in Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy.
  • To publish a variety of items, often with a focus on in-depth analyses, aiding church members in giving the Third Angel’s Message in word and action.
  • To make freely available a variety of helpful resources via the internet.

Our Name
Word "Selah" is found in 2 Kings 14:7 which is a name of the city (later known as Petra, “rock”) Selah, --“the Rock;”  Rock has always been used as a synonym for strength and solidarity. The parable of the house built upon a rock is an example (Matt. 7:24,25). The word “rock” is used many times in the Bible to illustrate the protecting care of God for His people. The psalmist says, “The Lord is my rock. “ (Psa. 18:2)  “Thou art my rock and my fortress.” (Psa. 71:3).
“Selah,” which occurs over seventy times in the Psalms, and is defined by most commentators, “a pause or musical note,” is also defined in the marginal reference to be “the rock". (2Kings 14:7, margin.) It is quite appropriate that in singing of the mighty power of God in leading His people, the psalmist should pause at times and meditate upon Selah, - “the Rock; the “spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” (1Cor. 10:4.)
Victories would often take place of defeat in our daily lives if in our songs we inserted the same pauses used by the sweet singer of Israel. If in the rush of our daily lives we paused to meditate upon “the Rock,” we could say with David, “In the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock. (Psa. 27:5.)” – (The Cross and Its Shadow by Stephen N. Haskell, p. 266-267)

Our Logo

The commission given to God's remnant Seventh-day Adventists is to preach the final warning, three angel's messages of Revelation 14:6-12. For many decades a unique logo with the three angels was displayed throughout Adventism. Most historic Seventh-day Adventists still believe that that logo is unique and distinct and will continue to display it.  Selah Ministries logo consists of three angels circling the globe, signifying the Three Angels messages which are presently being proclaimed around the Earth.
